Valuation of water purification service of Renukawetland, India: A Ramsar site

Wetlands are very important ecosystems from the ecological, productivity and conservation perspective. Economic valuation of ecosystem services provided by wetlandsquantifies various benefits derived wetlands puts a value on their conservation. One such wetland importance is Renuka wetland, which natural located in Western Himalayas, State Himachal Pradesh India. The article aims to assess evaluate for its water purification service. study based multisource data conventional evaluation method. results show that average depth 6.01 m volume was determined as 1072530.176 m3. economic service estimated be INR 31.9 million(0.44 million USD) thus identifying significant healthy ecosystem. itself advocates proper management
